when i first started watching i thought gendo would be a tsundere father who secretly loves his son but with a tough exterior to protect him/make him stronger. mfer just turned out to be a selfish asshole

The red glasses, amish beard, and white gloves make everything he does unbelievably hilarious. I have now idea how he can take himself so seriously while dressed that way.

He gave his son a giant robot and moved him into a rent free apartment with two hot girls as room-mates, both of which are emotionally needy with one being an alcoholic. As far as I'm concerned he did his duty as a father with just that set up. Not Gendo's fault his son is too much of a little bitch to take advantage of it.
